A long-time MSP client and global technology leader was looking for a partner to manage their global intermediate and tail R&D services spend, allowing their procurement organization more time to focus on strategic suppliers and category strategy. They asked TestMSP to provide expert support.

We implemented full category management support and rolled out services management technology to take on full ownership of our client’s non-strategic supplier spend. This cut down the number of suppliers they needed to actively manage, freeing up their internal team and helping them to achieve maximum value from every engagement.

We significantly reduced the administrative burden of the procurement organization while increasing services visibility, reducing costs, and improving compliance across R&D statement of work (SOW) engagements. This led to an expansion of TestMSP’s solution across multiple categories and suppliers. We now manage $200M in global services spend.

We use industry-leading technology to digitize and optimize every aspect of the services engagement process, from driving process efficiencies to understanding supplier performance and delivering detailed analytics to our client partner. We combine an industry-leading VMS with our proprietary talent supply chain portal – Test Helix UX – to power the solution. We also provide our client with access to human cloud platforms, expanding the range and scope of services they can access through the gig worker community.

As part of our active supplier management, we have identified and nurtured diverse suppliers with the ability to deliver in key service categories across the solution. The program increased diversity spend by 162% last year and we continue to highlight opportunities to work with diverse businesses.

We are constantly assessing and reviewing our supply base against the organization’s needs and goals to make sure we have the right suppliers in the right place to tackle future demand. We also provide supply chain support to help the business navigate M&A activity. Alongside these assessments, we report back to our client on key KPIs like cycle time, cost savings, customer satisfaction, and diversity spend – this enables us to constantly assess and improve our performance.
